Programme Notes:

Lime Groves of South Kensington, a work in three sections for tenor saxophone, violin and piano, is influenced by music I have listened to for many years - particularly psychedelic music and 20th century American classical piano music.
Recently I have also become fascinated by instruments such as the autoharp and towards the end first section the piano writing is very much a piano interpretation of the autoharp style.
Throughout the work there is usually one instrument playing a pulsing part somewhere in the textures.
